Our LGBTQIA+ youth support organisation is calling for passionate and dedicated individuals to join the board of trustees and help shape the future of our work. As the organisation continues to grow, we are looking for passionate advocates who can bring diverse perspectives and expertise to support young LGBTQIA+ people across West Yorkshire.
The charity provides essential support, advocacy, and safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ young people, helping them navigate challenges such as mental health, discrimination, and social isolation. Through mentoring, peer support, and educational programmes, the organisation empowers young individuals to thrive and reach their full potential. If you are passionate about this cause, and want to volunteer in a board position for our small organisation we want to hear from you!
Why Become a Trustee?
Trustees play a crucial role in guiding the charity’s strategic direction, ensuring strong governance, and making key decisions that impact the lives of young LGBTQIA+ people. This voluntary role offers the opportunity to:

The charity is particularly keen to hear from individuals with expertise in areas such as finance, fundraising, HR, governance, communications, and youth work. However, applications are welcome from anyone with a strong commitment to LGBTQIA+ rights and inclusion.
The charity values diversity and inclusivity and is actively encouraging applications from people of all backgrounds, including those who have lived experience of being LGBTQIA+ or have faced challenges similar to those the organisation seeks to address. Prior experience as a trustee is not necessary—enthusiasm and a willingness to contribute are just as important.
